It's Time

Have Your people gone so far from You
Your Word is read yet none obey
Pride standing in the way
Often "Amen" spoken in the crowd
Agreement of Your word in speech
But with our lives we lack to teach
How are any to be reached
If we are to be a letter of Christ
With the Spirit of the living God
It's time to be alive
It's time to show love
The least of these is waiting
It's time to look inside
Examine our own lives
If faith without deeds is dead
How many of our hearts still beat
When will we be jolted from our place of security
When will we finally see
That without love we fall to the fire
Without love the greatest commands are lost
We mustn't compromise
The call that is on all our lives
It's time to get back to the beginning
Where in God's image we were created
It's time to take a stand
It's time to come back
To the God who gave us life
Let's start living the word with our lives
It's time
No room to compromise

The Lacking

Where have they gone
those who thirst for the living water
Where have they gone
those who allow themselves to be filled with the Spirit
Where have they gone
those with faith enough to move mountains
Where have they gone
those workers who harvest the fields

Do they sit alone in foolish pride
Do they fight to surrender inside
Do they put their faith in the things of this world
Do they refuse to listen in order to be heard

Light

Light the way
The candle breaks
Darkness fills the void
all my shame
Who am I without this Light?
Alone
Broken
Torn
Weak
But through You made complete
Left in this world of sin
Until the Son shall rise again

Need

Slice the thickness of the air
Lord just teach us how to care
No one thirsts and no one seeks
The will You have for each
Carry on about our day
No one hungers for Your name
Why must so many live in vain
Lift us up, Lord
And be our guide
Show us You
Swallow our pride
In the darkness
Let there be light

Are We?

We have this life
but are we living?
We have this hope
but are we sharing?
We have this love
but are we giving all we have?

Repentance

Falling down upon my knees
Lifted up
Tangle me in Your love
Embrace me with Your grace
Light my way
Cover me with Your wings of mercy
Let me not breathe in this world
But only Your breath of life
For only in Your arms
All this sinners scars
Each and every day
Falling down to see You face

Only One

Light a candle
Say a prayer
Sing a song
None to hear
Only the One we come for
Only You we proclaim LORD
For nothing is for us
All is for You
The only One worthy
The only One who gives grace
The only One who shows mercy
Only to you do we give praise
